Shortlist For Royal Philharmonic Society Awards Announced

It has just been announced that Lise has been shortlisted for the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Singer Award for 2022.

These are prestigious awards, which the Society say are “regarded by many as the BAFTAs for classical music”. They add that the Awards are “classical music’s annual good news story, shining much-needed light on inspirational individuals, groups and initiatives whose music has lifted hearts and minds across the nation.”

The Awards are given annually for live classical music-making in the United Kingdom. They were first awarded in 1989. The Singer Award is supported by ISM, the Independent Society of Musicians @ISM_music [link to https://mobile.twitter.com/ISM_music]. Past winners have included an array of brilliant talent including Anne Sofie von Otter, Bryn Terfel, Gerald Finley and Nina Stemme.

The winners will be revealed at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in London at 1900 on Wednesday the 1st of March 2023.
