Lise Wins Prestigious Karajan Prize

Lise has been named as one of the three winners of the 2024 Herbert von Karajan prize. She will receive 16,000 Euros, alongside South African soprano Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha and Swiss mezzo Eve-Maud Hubeaux.

Lise received the prize at a special ceremony at the Salzburg Easter Festival on Monday 25th March.

The Herbert von Karajan Prize was founded by Karajan’s widow Eliette, and first awarded in 2017 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Salzburg Easter Festival. The prize is awarded to musicians and singers whose exceptional artistic achievements have found global recognition, with a special focus on young artists since 2023.
